Hariharan is one of the defining voices of Indian music. Across more than four decades he has recorded over 5,000 songs in ten languages, sung playback for Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu cinema, and shaped Indian fusion as one half of Colonial Cousins.

His 1992 recording of the Hanuman Chalisa has been watched more than five billion times, the most of any Indian video ever made.

Hariharan (born 3 April 1955) is a ghazal singer, a playback singer in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu cinema, and one of the pioneers of Indian fusion music. He has sung more than 5,000 songs in 10 languages across a career of over four decades.
